What's the difference between Phase 1 and Phase 2 hoses? R5 GT Turbo Phase 1 (1985-1987) has slightly different cooling circuit than Phase 2 (1987-1991). Diameters and lengths vary, especially at radiator and cylinder head. Our kits are specifically matched to each phase. Phase 1 engine produces 115hp, Phase 2 120hp with factory intercooler.

Do the hoses handle increased boost pressure? Yes, our 5mm 4-ply boost hoses handle 43 PSI continuous and 72 PSI peak. Perfect for Stage 1 tuning (13 PSI), Stage 2 (17 PSI) or Stage 3 (22 PSI). VMQ silicone stays flexible at high temperature unlike hardening OEM rubber.
