Saxo FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Which Saxo models are compatible with your silicone hoses? Our hoses fit all Citroën Saxo petrol models from 1996 to 2003. This includes VTS 1.6 16V (120hp), VTR 1.4 (75hp), and 1.0/1.1 engines. Diesel models require specific references. Compatibility is identical for Peugeot 106 with same engines.

How many hoses are in a complete Saxo kit? A complete kit typically contains 3 to 5 hoses depending on engine: upper radiator hose, lower radiator hose, heater hoses (2 pieces on some models), and possibly expansion tank hose. Matching stainless clamps are included.

Do silicone hoses improve Saxo performance? Silicone hoses maintain their shape under pressure and temperature, unlike rubber. This ensures consistent coolant flow, particularly important for VTS in sport use. Better heat dissipation can reduce engine temperature by several degrees.

Can I install the hoses myself on my Saxo? Yes, replacement is accessible with basic tools. Time required: about 1-2 hours. Drain cooling system, replace hoses one by one, fill with new fluid and bleed system. Detailed instructions included with our kits.
