    The REDOX boost hose is a high-performance charge-air pipe designed for the circuit between the turbocharger and the intercooler on the Land Rover Defender 2.2TD 122hp. It is manufactured from VMQ silicone with a specially formulated inner layer providing resistance to diesel fuel hydrocarbons. The 4-ply, 5 mm wall construction delivers superior burst pressure resistance and longevity compared to the original equipment rubber hose. Continuous operating temperature range is -50°C to +180°C.

    Original rubber boost hoses harden and crack over time, leading to boost pressure loss, audible whistling under acceleration and, in severe cases, hose rupture and power loss. REDOX VMQ silicone retains its mechanical properties throughout its entire service life, which is why REDOX backs it with a lifetime guarantee.

    The following Land Rover part numbers correspond to the original turbocharger-to-intercooler boost hose on the 2.2 TDCi engine:

    • LR044441 — Turbocharger to intercooler hose, vehicles from VIN CA412051 to VIN DA428173 (production up to approx. 2013-2014)
    • LR061831 — Intercooler to turbocharger hose, vehicles from VIN DA428174 to end of production (2014–2016)

    Part number LR044441 was superseded by LR061831 during the production run. The REDOX hose is a compatible replacement for both VIN ranges.
