  • REDOX 2-hose silicone kit for the turbo intake circuit of the Alfa Romeo 156 2.4 JTD 20V 175 hp (chassis 932 facelift, 939A1.000 inline-5 2387 cc DOHC 20-valve Multijet Common Rail, 385 Nm, 2003-2006). The 5-cyl JTD is famous for its character but suffers from OEM rubber hoses that harden quickly under combined turbo heat and EGR/blow-by chemistry.

    Why FVMQ is mandatory

    On this Common Rail diesel, two combined stresses mandate a FVMQ fluorosilicone inner liner:

    • Post-turbo charge air can peak at 180-200 °C
    • EGR + PCV system constantly recycles combustion gases and oil blow-by vapours into intake

    Standard VMQ softens and leaks under this dual stress. FVMQ shows Class A chemical resistance to aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons.
