Silicone air intake hose Peugeot 405 MI16 1.9 16V XU9J4 160 hp FVMQ — REDOX

REDOX silicone hose for the air intake circuit of the Peugeot 405 MI16 1.9 16V (XU9J4 160 hp NA, 1987-1992). On this high-performance 16-valve engine, PCV continuously recycles crankcase oil vapours into intake — hence the mandatory FVMQ fluorosilicone inner liner. Companion to the 405 MI16 cooling kit (966) and oil kit (968) for a complete overhaul.

Why FVMQ is mandatory

Standard VMQ degrades on contact with PCV blow-by oil vapours. Without FVMQ, the hose softens and blisters — frequent cause of boost leaks, P0171 and power loss on ageing XU9J4.
